Our social care courses are aimed at front line staff and management. The Level 3 Health and Safety course is based on regulated units, meaning you receive both a Level 3 certificate of completion AND RQF credit certificates from an Ofqual recognised awarding body; these credits can be used as prior learning towards RQF qualifications. We also offer regulated NOCN qualifications: Level 2 awards for those seeking foundational or specialist knowledge in adult social care, moving and handling, manual handling, and fire safety, plus a Level 5 award for leaders driving digital transformation in adult social care.

All courses include a Level 3 certificate of completion and RQF credit certificates from an Ofqual recognised awarding body, unless stated otherwise. Health and Safety

  • Risk assessment principles and practical risk assessment in care environments.

  • Conducting moving and handling risk assessments using the TILE model.
  • Understanding biomechanics, ergonomics, and how to protect your back and joints.

  • Safe techniques for bed mobility, transfers, walking assistance, and seated manoeuvres.
  • Ensuring dignity and consent during moving and handling tasks.

  • Fire prevention measures specific to care settings, including electrical, kitchen, and storage safety.
  • Evacuation procedures for individuals with mobility, sensory, or cognitive impairments, including use of evacuation aids.
