Bespoke Training for Care Providers

Tailored training designed around your service, your staff, and the people you support. Whether you need to address skills gaps, meet regulatory requirements, respond to complaints, or embed Lessons Learned, we build the training your service actually needs.

No two care services are the same. The people you support, the environments you operate in, and the challenges you face are unique to your organisation. That's why off-the-shelf training, whilst useful for mandatory compliance, often falls short when it comes to the real issues your service needs to address.

Our bespoke training service starts with your needs, not a syllabus. We work with you to understand your service, your staff, and the outcomes you need to achieve. Then we design and deliver training that fits your context, your regulatory framework, and the people you support. Whether you run a domiciliary care agency, a supported living service, a day centre, or a children's home, we can build training that makes a real difference to the quality of care you deliver.

Why Bespoke Training?

Standard courses cover the basics. Bespoke training addresses the real issues your service faces, grounded in the social model of care, human rights-based practice, and strength-based, person-centred approaches.

Addressing Skills Gaps

When staff are struggling in specific areas, whether that's medication management, manual handling, or communication with individuals with particular needs, we design training that targets those gaps directly. No sitting through generic modules they already know.

Meeting Regulatory Requirements

CQC and Ofsted expect to see training that goes beyond ticking boxes. If your last inspection identified areas for improvement, or if you want to demonstrate excellence at your next one, we design training that directly addresses what regulators are looking for.

Following Complaints

When a complaint reveals that staff need additional training or support, our bespoke training addresses the specific issues raised. This shows complainants and regulators that you have taken the concern seriously and acted on it.

Supporting Lessons Learned

After a safeguarding concern, a serious incident, or a near miss, Lessons Learned reviews often identify training needs. We turn those findings into practical, engaging training that helps staff understand what went wrong and how to prevent it happening again.

Care Settings We Support

We understand the different challenges each type of service faces.

Domiciliary Care

Training for staff who support people in their own homes. We cover lone working risks, medication management in community settings, moving and handling in domestic environments, and maintaining professional boundaries. Our domiciliary training reflects the reality that staff often work alone, without immediate support, in unpredictable environments.

Supported Living

Training for staff supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, or physical disabilities in supported living settings. We cover positive behaviour support, person-centred planning, promoting independence, and the principles of the Transforming Care programme. Our training helps staff balance duty of care with the right of individuals to take risks and make choices.

Supported Accommodation

Training for staff in supported accommodation services, including those working with young people transitioning to independence, individuals experiencing homelessness, and people recovering from substance misuse or mental health crises. We cover safeguarding, boundaries, trauma-informed care, and the practical skills staff need to support people through significant life transitions.

Day Centres

Training for day centre staff supporting adults with a range of needs including dementia, learning disabilities, and physical disabilities. We cover group activity facilitation, personalised engagement, managing behaviours that challenge in group settings, and promoting dignity and choice. Our training helps staff create environments where people feel valued and engaged.

Children's Homes

Training for staff in children's homes and residential settings for young people. We cover attachment and trauma-informed practice, managing behaviours that challenge in children and young people, de-escalation, and the specific safeguarding requirements for children's services. Our training is aligned with the Quality Standards for children's homes and Ofsted expectations.

How It Works

A structured approach that ensures your training delivers real outcomes.

1. Consultation and Needs Analysis

We start by understanding your service. This includes a conversation about your regulatory framework (CQC, Ofsted, or non-regulated), your staff team, the people you support, and the specific challenges or goals you have. If you have inspection reports, complaint findings, or Lessons Learned reviews, we review those too.

2. Training Design

Based on the needs analysis, we design a training programme that addresses your specific requirements. This might include adapting existing courses, creating new modules, or building a completely bespoke programme. We ensure the content is relevant, practical, and aligned with your regulatory framework.

3. Delivery

We deliver the training at our Cheadle Training Centre, at your premises, or online via Zoom. For group bookings, we can tailor the delivery to fit around shift patterns and staffing levels. We use a mix of theory, practical exercises, case studies, and discussions to ensure learning is engaging and memorable.

4. Evaluation and Follow-Up

After the training, we provide feedback on staff engagement and learning outcomes. We can also provide follow-up support, including refresher sessions, additional coaching, or further training if needs are identified. This ensures the training has lasting impact rather than being a one-off event.
