The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is an Ofqual regulated qualification that provides an introduction to teaching in the further education and training sector. It is designed for individuals who wish to teach or train adults in any subject area where they are occupationally competent, including health and social care, mandatory training, and workplace induction. This award covers the roles and responsibilities of a teacher, inclusive teaching and learning approaches, assessment methods, and the principles of planning and delivering effective sessions. It is the replacement for the former PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) qualification and is widely recognised by employers and awarding bodies across the UK.
