Our End of Life Care Course is a Level 3 short course designed to equip care workers and support staff with the knowledge and skills to provide compassionate, person-centred care for individuals approaching end of life. The course covers advance care planning, symptom management, communication with families, and the emotional and practical support needed during this sensitive time.

Grounded in human rights-based practice and the social model of care, the training promotes strength-based, person-centred approaches that honour the individual's wishes, their right to make choices about their care, and the importance of supporting families and loved ones through one of life's most difficult transitions.

Communication

Having sensitive conversations with individuals and families, and breaking difficult news compassionately.

Providing emotional and practical support to families before and after a bereavement.
