Behaviour Management Course

A Level 3 short course on understanding and supporting behaviours that challenge, with practical strategies for creating positive care environments.

Our Behaviour Management Course is a Level 3 short course that helps care workers and support staff understand the function of behaviours that challenge and develop positive, proactive strategies to support individuals. The course focuses on understanding the person behind the behaviour, identifying triggers, and creating supportive environments that reduce distress.

Grounded in the social model of care and human rights-based practice, the training emphasises strength-based, person-centred approaches that look beyond the behaviour to understand the unmet need and the communication behind it. Staff learn that behaviours that challenge are often expressions of distress, and that the right response starts with listening.
