Autism Awareness Course

Develop a deeper understanding of the autism spectrum and learn practical strategies to support autistic individuals in care, education, and supported living settings.

Our Autism Awareness Course is a Level 3 short course that helps care workers, support staff, and managers develop a thorough understanding of autism spectrum conditions. You will learn about the different ways autism can present, effective communication strategies, and how to provide person-centred support that respects the individuality and strengths of autistic people. Grounded in the social model of care, the course helps staff move beyond a deficit-focused understanding of autism to embrace strength-based, human rights-based practice that sees the person, not the diagnosis.
