Every member of your team should know how to notice a concern and pass it on. A registered manager needs to know what happens next: how a Section 42 enquiry actually works, how to conduct or oversee one well, how mental capacity and best interests decisions intersect with a safeguarding response, how to manage an allegation against your own staff, and how to represent your organisation properly within your local Safeguarding Adults Board. That is genuinely different work, and it deserves its own dedicated, leadership-level training.
Written for registered managers and those preparing for that role, this course covers the Care Act 2014’s six safeguarding principles, the Section 42 duty to make enquiries, conducting and overseeing an enquiry well, mental capacity and best interests in safeguarding decisions, the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, Making Safeguarding Personal in practice, managing allegations against staff, Safeguarding Adults Boards and Reviews, self-neglect, modern slavery, multi-agency working, and leading safeguarding practice across Supported Living, Domiciliary Care and Ambulance Services.
Whether you're preparing for an inspection, developing your team, or starting a new care business, we're here to help.
