Health and Safety Courses and Qualifications

Our Health and Safety Care Courses are designed and developed to meet your learning needs as a care and support worker, ensuring you have all the essential knowledge and, most importantly, the skills to stay up to date with all safe standards in home care, supported living, and residential settings.

Our courses cover topics such as risk assessment and manual handling, amongst others. For example, the correct way to lift and shift an object essential for moving it from A to B.

During your training, you will develop the skills needed to assist people with dignity and safely. Proper lifting and repositioning techniques can greatly lessen the risk of injury to yourself and those you support.

Through the hands-on component of the courses, you gain experience following best practice and practical experience with the types of equipment commonly used in care environments. This includes hoists, stand aids and slide sheets.

Our health and safety courses comply with Skills for Care standards and fulfil CQC requirements.
